From the following album images which have been shared by Google and Facebook, its looking like the coolest new trends in workplace design have perks which are akin to those of a very nice Cruise Ship without the water.
I call this workplace trend the "Land Cruise".
From futuristic nap pods to gourmet cafeterias with fresh baked bread, in-house washers and dryers, dogs in the workstations. Fitness centers and pools, who would ever want to leave the office. Oh, I see...that's the point:) Seriously, this really does take creativity in workplace design to a new level. Note the colors, warm, playful tangerines, lime greens. I think when employees are surrounded with a thoughtfully designed,warm, humorous and playful environment they are more loyal and I would bet more productive too.
